Buddy got his staples out on Fri, 10/8 and the Vet gave us the OK to resume normal activity and allow Buddy to run and play. His favorite place to go is Crissy Field, down by the Golden Gate Bridge, so we couldn’t wait to get him back there. We took him there this morning and it was so great to see him back in his element. He was definitely a little tentative at first and stayed pretty close to us. Normally he loves fetching his rubber chicken, but he wasn’t really into it today. But then he spotted this great yellow toy in the water and edged in to get it. Now fetch was on! We threw it around for him and he was back to his old self! Of course we took it easy and didn’t throw it as far or for as long as we normally would. But it was so great to see him run around, fetch and be so happy! It was a great morning!
After we were done at the beach, it was time for Buddy’s first “shower”. Although he’s not a fan of being rinsed off, it was nice to wash him up and suds up some doggy shampoo so we could get the smell of the bandages off him.
We can’t wait to go back!!
